Weldtite Bike Puncture Repair Kit – 6 Vulcanizing Patches for Emergency Tyre Fixes
Every cyclist gets a puncture eventually. The question is whether you're prepared for it. The Weldtite Puncture Repair Kit gives you everything you need for a quick, permanent inner tube repair — compact enough to live in your saddle bag and reliable enough to trust when you're miles from the nearest bike shop.
Trusted by British cyclists for over 75 years, Weldtite has been making cycling repair products in the UK since 1947. This kit is a staple in any well-prepared rider's toolkit — whether you're commuting through town, riding the Monsal Trail, or tackling a long sportive.
What's Included:
- 6 vulcanizing rubber patches — flexible, durable, and built for a strong permanent bond
- Metal scuffer & chalk — preps the tube surface for maximum adhesion
- Tube of vulcanizing solution — professional-strength glue for a reliable, lasting repair
Key Features:
- Compact & portable — fits in a jersey pocket, saddle bag, or handlebar bag
- Works on all standard inner tubes — road, MTB, hybrid, and commuter bikes
- Permanent repair — not a temporary fix; properly applied patches last the life of the tube
- British-engineered quality — Weldtite has been making cycling repair products in the UK since 1947
Patch Kit vs Spare Inner Tube — Which Should You Carry?
Ideally both — but if you have to choose:
- Spare inner tube — faster to fit roadside, but you only get one shot. Once it's used, you're out of options.
- Puncture repair kit — slower to apply but gives you multiple repairs. Essential as a backup once your spare tube is used.
- Best practice — carry a spare tube (like our Impac inner tubes) AND this repair kit. Fix the punctured tube with the kit, keep the spare for emergencies.
How to Repair a Puncture:
- Remove the inner tube and locate the puncture (submerge in water to find the bubbles)
- Roughen the area around the hole with the metal scuffer
- Apply a thin layer of vulcanizing solution and wait 1–2 minutes until tacky
- Press the patch firmly onto the prepared area, centred over the hole
- Hold firmly for 30 seconds, then peel the foil backing carefully
- Dust with chalk to prevent the patch sticking to the tyre
Don't get caught out on a long ride without one. The Weldtite Puncture Repair Kit is the essential emergency fix every cyclist should carry.
