Will it fit my bike?

The Zefal EZ Max FC is compatible with both Schrader (car-type) and Presta valves, covering all standard road, MTB, hybrid, and gravel bike inner tubes. Check your valve type before use — Schrader valves are wider and shorter; Presta valves are narrower with a locking nut.

How to use

1. For CO2 inflation: thread a 16g CO2 cartridge into the inflator head
2. Attach the head to your valve (Schrader or Presta)
3. Release the CO2 by activating the trigger — the tyre inflates in seconds
4. Remove the inflator and check the pressure — CO2 inflates quickly so monitor carefully
5. For manual inflation: use the built-in pump mechanism as a standard mini pump

Common questions

Does this come with CO2 cartridges?
No — CO2 cartridges are not included. The EZ Max FC uses standard 16g threaded CO2 cartridges, which are widely available. We stock CO2 cartridges at Peak Bike Station — ask in store.

How many times can I inflate a tyre with one CO2 cartridge?
One 16g cartridge typically inflates one road tyre (700c x 23–28mm) to full pressure, or one MTB tyre (26–29" x 2.0–25") to a usable pressure. For very large volume tyres (plus or fat bike), you may need two cartridges.

Does CO2 leak out of the tyre faster than air?
Yes — CO2 molecules are slightly smaller than nitrogen/oxygen and permeate through the tube rubber faster. After a CO2 inflation, replace the CO2 with air from a track pump within 24 hours to maintain correct pressure.

Is this compatible with Presta valves?
Yes — the EZ Max FC works with both Schrader and Presta valves. Check which valve type your inner tube has before use.

Can I use this as a regular pump without CO2?
Yes — the manual pump function works independently of the CO2 mechanism. It won’t reach the pressure of a full-size track pump, but it’s sufficient to get you home.
