What’s in the kit?

• Weldtite TF2 All-Weather Chain Oil — 125ml — wet lube that stays on the chain in rain, mud, and cold conditions. The correct choice for autumn, winter, and mixed-weather riding.
• Weldtite Citrus Degreaser Spray — biodegradable citrus degreaser for removing old lube and grime from chains, cassettes, and chainrings before relubing.
• Weldtite TF2 Lithium Grease — 40g — water-resistant grease for bearings, threads, seatposts, and pedal threads. Prevents corrosion and component seizing — especially important in winter conditions.

Why all-weather oil for winter?

Wet lubes like TF2 All-Weather Oil stay on the chain in rain and mud, providing continuous protection where dry wax lubes would wash off. The trade-off is that wet lubes attract more dirt in dry conditions — which is why we offer a separate Summer Drivetrain Care Kit with TF2 Ultra Dry Chain Wax for dry conditions. For year-round UK riding, the Winter kit is the more versatile choice.

How to use the kit

1. Apply the Citrus Degreaser to the chain, cassette, and chainrings. Allow to soak for 1–2 minutes, then agitate with a brush and rinse thoroughly.
2. Allow the drivetrain to dry completely before applying lube.
3. Apply TF2 All-Weather Chain Oil to each chain link while rotating the pedals. Wipe off excess with a clean cloth.
4. Apply TF2 Lithium Grease to bearing surfaces, threads, and seatpost during any service or component removal — especially important before winter to prevent corrosion seizing.

Common questions

What is the difference between the Summer and Winter kits?
The Winter kit includes TF2 All-Weather Chain Oil — a wet lube that stays on the chain in rain and mud. The Summer kit includes TF2 Ultra Dry Chain Wax — a dry wax lube suited to dry, dusty conditions. Both kits include the same Citrus Degreaser and Lithium Grease. Choose Winter for wet or mixed conditions, Summer for dry conditions.

How often should I clean and lube my chain in winter?
More frequently than in summer — every 50–100 miles in wet conditions, or after every muddy ride. Mud and grit accelerate chain and cassette wear significantly. A clean, well-lubed chain in winter lasts far longer than a neglected one.

Can I use this kit on an e-bike?
Yes — all three products are suitable for e-bike drivetrains. E-bike chains experience higher torque loads, making regular maintenance even more important.

Is TF2 All-Weather Oil suitable for road bikes?
Yes — it’s suitable for road, MTB, hybrid, and gravel bikes. Road cyclists who ride through winter will find it keeps the chain protected in wet conditions better than a dry lube.
